Cubs Promoting Top Prospect Owen Caissie

Fans who have been clamoring for Owen Caissie’s promotion are finally going to get their wish. As first reported by ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel and Jesse Rogers, Caissie will be with the team for Thursday’s game in Toronto. Pretty cool for a Canadian kid, eh?

Caissie was a key piece in the blockbuster Yu Darvish trade in 2020 and he’s climbed steadily up the ladder in the five years since. The ginger outfielder had a .966 with 22 homers for Triple-A Iowa and could see himself in the lineup at DH for his debut.
