Cubs Announce 18 Non-Roster Spring Training Invitees

The Chicago Cubs have invited the following 18 non-roster players to 2026 major league Spring Training, which begins Wednesday, February 11 when pitchers and catchers have their first formal workout at the club’s Nike Performance Center in Mesa, Ariz. The team’s first full-squad workout will take place Monday, February 16.

The following eight pitchers have been invited to major league camp: right-handed pitchers Jeff Brigham, Grant Kipp, Corbin Martin, Connor Noland, Connor Schultz, Collin Snider, Trent Thornton and Jaxon Wiggins.

Four infielders have been invited to major league camp: Scott Kingery, Jonathon Long, B.J. Murray and Jefferson Rojas.

Three outfielders have been invited to major league camp: Brett Bateman, Dylan Carlson and Chas McCormick.

Three catchers have been invited to major league camp: Ariel Armas, Christian Bethancourt and Casey Optiz.
