Cubs Announce 2026 Spring Training Broadcast Details, Only 15 Games Will Have Local Coverage
Including split-squads, international scrimmages, and the Spring Breakout prospect showcase, the Cubs have 33 games scheduled for spring training. A total of 15 of those games will be broadcast by either Marquee or 104.3 The Score, with the former carrying 11 and the latter taking 10. Some of those obviously overlap, like when both networks cover both of the Cubs’ first two games.
From there, however, there’s a gap of more than a week before Marquee’s next game and two weeks before The Score is back on the scene. We’ve known for a while now that this would be the case, but it’s still disappointing that they’ve scaled the coverage back to this extent. See below for the team’s media release and full schedule.
The Chicago Cubs today formalized the 2026 Spring Training schedule, which begins Friday, February 20 at Sloan Park in Mesa, Arizona against the Chicago White Sox. A total of 11 spring training games will air on Marquee Sports Network and ten games will air on 104.3 The Score.
The club’s 32-game schedule consists of 18 games at Sloan Park, including two exhibition games against the New York Yankees at Sloan Park, and 13 Cactus League road games. This marks the first time the Yankees have ever visited Sloan Park.
In addition to the Cactus League opener, the Cubs and White Sox play two other times this spring – Sunday, March 1 at Sloan Park and Friday, March 13 at Camelback Ranch in Glendale.
MLB’s Spring Breakout games return to the Spring Training schedule for the third-straight season. This year, the Chicago prospects will play the San Diego Padres prospects on Saturday, March 21 at Sloan Park.
Games on Marquee Sports Network can be also seen on the Marquee Sports App and WatchMarquee.com. Radio games can be heard on 104.3 The Score, the Cubs Radio Network, and streamed on the Audacy app.
